Instrumental Music

We teach Violin, Cello, and other stringed instruments like Guitar and Piano, at our Cupertino and San Jose, California studios. String players can begin at ages 5 and up with a 1/4 sized violin. We can teach Suzuki method or by reading the notes- it is up to you!

The woodwind family consists of the Clarinet, Flute, Bassoon, Oboe and Saxophone, and while they each have metal parts, they are still considered part of the woodwind family. That is because the mouthpiece producing the sound initially is made of wood, or as in the case of the flute, they were first made of wood hundreds of years ago. There are several types of flutes and clarinets and saxophones, and we teach them all!

Generally, your lesson will be on the C Flute, the Bb Clarinet, or a Tenor or Alto Saxophone. Our teachers can share with you their knowledge on orchestral music, jazz music, or classical solo and ensemble repertoire. We encourage students to begin woodwind lessons as early as 4th or 5th grade.
