Dr. Ross Hoksbergen is currently the director of Music at Union Church of Cupertino, director of the Union Choir, and is co-founder of Cupertino Music Academy. He maintains active teaching studios for voice, piano, and trumpet. Dr. Hoksbergen pursued his D.M.A. in Music Performance under the direction of Rich Illman. At MSU, he was a member of the faculty brass ensemble, the Beaumont Brass Quintet.

Dr. Yanakieva is a founding member and teacher at Cupertino Music Academy. She is the pianist and organist at Union Church, in Cupertino, California. She maintains an active studio of all ages, featuring 'Master Classes', Recitals, and community performances. Yanakieva is always in demand as a performer for events featuring piano or other special music.

Guitar

As a classical guitarist, he is a believer in musical literacy as well as developing technical prowess on the instrument. In his heyday, he was putting in at least 4 hours of intensive practice each day, year-round; this was not including his time spent on other instruments. He teaches mainly in the classical style, but is certainly open to explore different styles with students. Students will eventually learn how to finger-pick and play pieces in classical and popular repertoire through standard music notation.

Piano

Jolene started playing piano at the age of 8, and teaching piano in 1982. She worked at The Vern Hillmer School of Piano & Organ for 7 years, and then began teaching privately in 1989. She retired from private teaching in 1999, and recently has joined the Cupertino Music Academy in August of 2016, teaching students here at Union Church of Cupertino every Saturday.

Diane has a B.A. in Music Education was from College of Notre Dame, Belmont (now Notre Dame de Namur). Her post graduate studies include an Orff Schulwork Certification at Mills College.
